I cooked Dinner!!!! Shock!!!!

Ok, as some of you may know my mom LOVES to cook!
And I always feel like I am getting in the way of a great artist when she is in the kitchen.
So, I stay back, hand her tools and watch. She never says I can't cook but I just like to watch the master work. So, I rarely let myself cook solo. But finally all those years of watching mom, grandmothers and great grandmothers payed off!!! I made bread (from scratch), cinnamon rolls(from the same bread recipe) , it's sauce, and Chicken soup. AND the weather was bad! SURELY! The offspring of so many generations of awesome cooks can do this!
I think I did pretty good (even if I do say so myself).
lol. =D

Mmmmmm.......

yea the weather was bad!

Cinnamon Rolls

Chicken Soup!
(the veggies were a little cruncher than I like because I should have cook them in the broth (that mom made) first to make them tender.

The sauce for the cinnamon rolls (Ohhhh....sooooo goooood!)
I was worried it wouldn't turn out but about 5 min after dad got home this is what it looked like.
I guess it was good! So according to dad,
a fourth generation cook defeated this "dinner impossible"!
woooohoooo!!!!

Till the next culunary adventure....
have a great week!

Our 4th of July (yes it's a lil late sorry)

Well while on our way to our destination this is what happens to us when we get a little bored.

"Cousin It" impersonations !

Maddie gave "it" a try
Even Abby joined in

Abby and I at a quick stop a Bass Pro got matching pink camo Bass Pro hats

Once we got to the North Carolina side of the Smokies we stopped to cool off our feet

Then while our feet were cooling some nice park rangers stopped to show us some stuff.
Like this Elk antler Eli is holding. Yes we were on the hunt for the elk we had heard of a few years before and found out that there we some in the North Carolina Mountains.

The Park Ranger was having some fun! =)

An Elk skull
And a Bear skull
And this is an elk hoof.
A REALLY COOL BUG THING!
And our first sighting of an elk and it was a baby one too!!! It was soooo cute!!!
Then we went on a short hike

Then as we were leaving the park we saw a few more adult elk.

Eli was a little tuckered out after all the elk excitement.
Our next stop was some viddles, inside they were blowing glass and made the stuff you see here and more.

This was the view from our table
It was really neat!!!!
Dinner was REALLY GOOD. Ain't nothin like some good ole BBQ!!!!! Mmmmmmm.MMMM!

Then Fireworks outside "The Stompin Grounds"
They were so beautiful!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
