@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I can not believe we have posted nothing on this blog since July! How embarrassing. I need to maintain this one myself, the girls have such a full plate.
So now it is 2010. Lets see... I assume I should post something about things I hope to accomplish this year.

1. I hope to have a closer relationship with my Lord.
This will also encourage closer relationships with my family, it is just the fruit of that closer walk. I am blessed to have children who seek the Lord daily in most everything they do. Not perfect children, but sinners seeking everyday. It's so encouraging to me.

2. School, we always want to accomplish much in this area . It is great to have kids who want to learn.

3. Looking forward to several trips this year, Lord willing and Suburban running!

4. Help my wonderful husband in all his endeavors. (being a helpmeet comes natural to very few women.) I believe a lot of us start most days with that in our hearts and slowly lose the vision due to stress we try to take on ourselves without God, in our own strength which is weak. Proverbs 31, we are to do our husbands good. It is our charge to help our men in every way. That is our job. (I would like to recommend the C.D. "A wise woman's guide to blessing her Husbands Vision" by Doug Phillips. Great message on this subject.)

5. Make each day more simple than the day before. Remove distractions from our day. Even good things in excess are no longer good. Books, movies, CD's and oh yes the big vacuum.. computer's The more stuff we have the more stress we have. I have discovered the more we own the more stressed I feel. Always one more gadget, one more piece of clothing etc. Somethings we need, many things we do not. De-clutter!

6. Tell my children everyday, in some way, how great they are. Even on the not so great days.
I have been blessed with wonderful, God seeking children. Girls who look for ways to bless their family each day. They are encouraging to one another, as well as other's around them. Elijah brings a new element of excitement to our home. In his own powerful 6 year old way brings a lot to the table. Not a week goes by that he does not pose a question that sends us seeking deeper in the word for answers. His prayers are very powerful, I love to hear him pray.

7.Spend time wisely. We have family members that may not be around much longer. I want to know all I can about all their experiences. They have so much to pass on to the next generation. (with their view of the world pre- blogging, twitter, email etc.)

Well , I guess that is it for today. Don't look for anything more than once a week. I am not on here that much.
I do however want to wish each and every one of you a Blessed New Year and 2010! Most who read our blogs are dear family and friends and we love you all! You bring much to our lives. WE THANK GOD FOR EACH OF YOU EVERYDAY.
